Some time after the birth of their son, a young Mamoru began to wish for manga to read, starved of any entertainment on the small island. With no option but to reproduce old material, Tamotsu began creating manga for his son's sake. Eventually feeling that merely copying old stories wasn't good enough, Tamotsu exhaustively practiced his drawing and writing day and night, producing the original manga Mobile Samurai Goubain as a true gift to his son. As author of the manga Mobile Samurai Goubain, Tamotsu takes on the pen name "Anko Otsubu" (大粒あんこ)
